Carbon Harvest began as an explorative program under the auspices of Co-operate WNC's mutual aid network, amplifying the connection between climate resilience, cooperative economics, land access and racial and economic equity. We worked with Mari Stuart for over a year as coordinator and researcher for the program. Mari has since departed Co-operate WNC and is pursuing this work independently.
You can find her program here.
Community-Powered Regenerative Farming for WNC

If a farm is selected, we visit the farm and walk the land with the producer.
We conduct an initial soil sampling and whole-farm assessment to establish baseline
We develop a carbon farm plan in conversation with the farmer(s) and help you identify multiple streams of funding to support the necessary changes
We raise funds through our platform and implement the regenerative land management systems
The resulting carbon-sequestering systems make you eligible to sell carbon credits on emerging farm-focused carbon marketplaces
